Event Description
SWF at IAF GLOC 2026: Communicating Climate Change from Space
Secure World Foundation (SWF) will participate in the 2026 International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Global Space Conference on Climate Change (GLOC), taking place in Kigali, Rwanda. As part of the conference, SWF’s Krystal Azelton will speak on a panel titled “Beyond the Data: Communicating Climate Change from Space to the Public Mind.”
This session will explore how complex Earth observation data can be translated into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with broader audiences. By highlighting the power of space-based imagery and data, the discussion will focus on how to inspire engagement, strengthen public understanding of climate issues, and encourage meaningful action.
GLOC 2026 brings together global stakeholders to examine how space-based technologies and applications can support climate resilience and sustainability. The conference will address a wide range of technical, policy, and programmatic topics, while fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the international space and climate communities.
SWF’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing the role of space in addressing global challenges and supporting dialogue on the effective use of space-based data for the benefit of society.
