Secure World Foundation and the Embassy of Malaysia will co-host “Space Sustainability and Space Diplomacy from an ASEAN Lens: Priorities, Goals, and Gaps” on October 13, 2026, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington, DC.
Countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are growing their space sectors, including civil space programs and emerging space-related economies. At the same time, ASEAN countries are becoming more active in multilateral space discussions and international efforts to shape the future of space governance.
The event will examine regional priorities, recent steps to strengthen space diplomacy, and opportunities for broader global cooperation to ensure that access to and use of outer space remains sustainable for all.
The program is expected to include opening remarks, a keynote presentation, a 90-minute panel discussion, and a reception. Speakers and registration details will be added as they are confirmed.
