Victoria Samson to Speak at SSCL Workshop on National Security at the Space–Cyber Nexus

Event Description
Victoria Samson, Chief Director of Space Security and Stability at Secure World Foundation, will participate as an invited speaker at a workshop hosted by the School of Security Studies (SSCL) at Carleton University.
The workshop, “National Security at the Space–Cyber Nexus,” will take place on February 12–13, 2026, and will convene approximately 50 invited participants. Attendees will include senior leadership from 3 Canadian Space Division and Canadian Forces Cyber Command (CAFCYBERCOM), as well as representatives from ADM (Policy), other government departments, industry, academia, and civil society.
Ms. Samson will speak on counterspace issues and the Golden Dome, drawing on her experience in space security and policy.
The workshop will address topics including:
- Attribution of space and cyber attacks
- Responsibility for cyber hardening of dual-use space systems
- The role of cyber operations as a counterspace capability
- Implications for civilian systems and users
Participants will identify gaps in understanding and develop policy recommendations and best practices related to security at the space–cyber nexus.
