Secure World Foundation (SWF) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Dr. Michael Simpson Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship supports young professionals (age 35 and under) in traveling to, attending, and presenting their work at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), taking place October 5–9, 2026, in Antalya, Türkiye. Awards range from $500 to $1,500, at the discretion of SWF, to help offset travel-related expenses.
Applicants must submit one accepted IAC abstract per application and complete a short application, including a 500-word essay. Please note that previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.
Since its inception, the Dr. Michael Simpson Scholarship Fund has received more than 450 applications and awarded over 60 scholarships to young professionals from 28 countries. The program reflects SWF’s ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of space leaders and fostering international collaboration across the global space community.
