Secure World Foundation and the Embassy of Malaysia will co-host “Space Sustainability and Space Diplomacy from an ASEAN Lens: Priorities, Goals, and Gaps” on October 13, 2026, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington, DC.
The event will examine how countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are approaching space sustainability, space diplomacy, and regional space-sector growth. ASEAN countries are expanding their civil space activities and space-related economies while also becoming more active in multilateral space discussions.
The panel will highlight regional priorities, steps ASEAN countries have taken to strengthen space diplomacy, and areas where further global cooperation could support the sustainable access to and use of outer space.
The program is expected to include opening remarks, a keynote presentation, a 90-minute panel discussion, and a reception. SWF and the Embassy of Malaysia will work together to identify and invite speakers for the panel.
Speakers and registration details will be added as they are confirmed.
