Dr. Agnieszka Lukaszczyk

Dr. Agnieszka Lukaszczyk is a distinguished leader in the space industry, known for her expertise in government affairs, space policy, and international collaboration. With a career spanning multiple sectors of space governance, she has helped shape global space policies and advance the integration of space technologies into the broader economy.

Formerly Vice President for Government Affairs, EMEA at Planet, she advanced the company’s strategic partnerships and public policy agenda across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Before that, she held several influential roles at the European Commission, where she worked on initiatives in space policy, space security, and Earth observation.

Her leadership also spans the NGO and research communities. She served as Brussels Office Director for the Secure World Foundation and as a research fellow at the European Space Policy Institute. She has also held senior roles with the Space Generation Advisory Council, including Executive Director and Chair, supporting and mentoring the next generation of space leaders.

Currently, Dr. Lukaszczyk chairs the Sustainability Task Force at the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), leading efforts to support the long-term sustainability of space activities. She is an author and co-author of numerous books and articles on space policy and security, and she regularly lectures and delivers keynote talks at universities and major international conferences. Her work has earned her several awards recognizing excellence in space leadership.

Dr. Lukaszczyk holds a PhD in Space Security from the Polish Defence Academy, along with advanced degrees in Management of Space in New Economies and International Politics. She has also studied at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, American University, and the Warsaw School of Economics.
