Secure World Foundation will participate in the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, taking place September 15–17, 2026, in Beijing, China.
Almudena Azcárate Ortega, SWF Senior Program Analyst, has been invited to speak on space security law and policy issues during the conference. Final agenda details have not yet been released, and additional speaking opportunities may be confirmed closer to the event.
Hosted by the China Association for Military Science and the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, the forum will convene military personnel, defense officials, government representatives, and global security experts to discuss regional and international security issues.
The 2026 forum will be held under the theme “Build Consensus On Stability, Advance Security Governance Together.” Discussions are expected to address global strategy, technological change, regional security concerns, and approaches to security governance.
Azcárate Ortega’s participation will support SWF’s work on space security, international law, and responsible behavior in outer space. The forum also provides an opportunity to engage with non-Western perspectives on security governance and to strengthen regional and international connections on space security policy.
