Secure World Foundation will participate in the Second Annual U.S. Space Forum, taking place October 15–16, 2026, at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.
The forum is hosted by the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna and will focus on commercial space capabilities, innovation, and international coordination. The event is designed to provide international delegates with a better understanding of the U.S. approach to outer space law and policy, the U.S. domestic regulatory system, and the practical value of Artemis Accords principles.
Ian Christensen, SWF Senior Director, Private Sector Programs, will speak as a panelist in a session focused on COPUOS observers. His participation will provide SWF’s perspective on the role of non-governmental observers in international space policy discussions and the current and future challenges facing COPUOS.
The two-day forum is expected to include diplomatic missions in Vienna, COPUOS delegations, Artemis Accords signatory nations, U.S. government officials, commercial space representatives, and experts from academia.
Topics are expected to include space situational awareness, satellite manufacture and deployment, on-orbit servicing, the low Earth orbit economy, space resources, and lunar activities.
