SWF Publishes a Revised Space Sustainability Infographic Poster

Secure World Foundation published an updated Space Sustainability Infographic Poster, edited by Alex Shi and Emily Kunasek. The poster explains how satellites support daily life, why Earth’s orbits should be treated as a limited natural resource, and what threatens long-term access to space. It highlights three central challenges: space debris, orbital congestion, and space security. The 2026 version updates earlier SWF work with current figures and framing, including more than 14,500 operational satellites and more than 80 countries with active satellites in orbit as of January 2026.
