Ian Christensen, Senior Director of Private Sector Programs at Secure World Foundation (SWF), will participate as a panelist at the Second Annual U.S. Space Forum, taking place October 15–16, 2026, at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

Hosted by the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna, the two-day forum will bring together government officials, diplomats, commercial space representatives, and academic experts to explore developments in commercial space activities, innovation, and international cooperation.

Christensen will participate in a panel focused on observers of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), contributing to discussions on the role of nongovernmental organizations and other stakeholders in international space governance.

The forum will address a range of emerging space policy issues, including space situational awareness, satellite manufacturing and deployment, on-orbit servicing, the low Earth orbit economy, space resources, and lunar activities. Participants are expected to include representatives from diplomatic missions, COPUOS delegations, Artemis Accords signatory nations, and the commercial space sector.

SWF's participation reflects its continued commitment to promoting international dialogue, strengthening cooperation among space stakeholders, and advancing the secure, sustainable, and peaceful uses of outer space.
